The Maths Don't Work

Google ranks individual pages, not websites. If you have 5 pages, you have 5 opportunities to show up in search results.

Your competitor with 200 pages? They have 200 opportunities. Even if your pages are slightly better, they're playing a completely different game.

You Can't Target Keywords With 5 Pages

Think about what your customers actually search for. "Plumber" is too competitive. "Emergency plumber Portsmouth" is specific. "Boiler repair Southsea" is even more specific.

Each of those searches deserves its own page. With 5 pages, you might capture one or two keyword variations. With 200 pages, you can target every service, every location, every question.

Google Sees a Thin Site
